Great mosaic Kira. I love it. It was fun to make mine too. I think this is the best meme I've ever done.

Wonderful things can happen when you go to Three Wishes to borrow a ball winder, and take a super supportive husband, to whom you mentioned an interest in learning to weave. Then you find a beautiful but very lonely loom. This is the loom that wanted to go home with me. Mumsy was there for the whole process of adoption. It was a very special moment. I think Kristine was as excited as me. She was very cute. There it is at home in its soon to be craft room. Ted is investigating. According to the Harrisville website: The model 22/8 is designed for the weaver who wants the versatility of eight harnesses, and yet they are practical enough for sample work and experimentation. Today I learned what harnesses and reeds are. This loom uses "snap chains" and easily folds while fully warped. It has 10 treadles, about 600 wire heddles and castle height of 42 inches. She was warm and cozy.

I have not been close to him, at all the last 5 years. Families are a bit complicated sometimes and this part of the family has had some trials. My wish being to not further complicate things within the family, I chose to withdraw and give them space to be themselves and allow myself the same gift. I miss my father and miss what we could have had together, if only thing were different. Love you Pop. On a much more fun issue, relating to fiber arts... Great Basin Fiber Arts Fair was a BLAST!!! Yes, it was very, very, very wet on Saturday, but our turn-out was not disappointing. We huddled in our tents and ran between raindrops and tried to stay warm. A bunch of Ravelry folks showed up and we were able to get button at the Three Wishes tent. It was really fun to put faces with the names. One ...
